Our
companionship with a German boxer started in 1999 when a
fawn bitch named Diva arrived into our home. Back
then she was already eight months old and her first
family probably could not handle the playful and lively
nature and a very special temperament of the German
boxer. Before Diva's arrival we read quite some
literature concerning the breed, we were attending many
dog shows, met the breeders etc. Our plan was to buy a
dog with a pedigree, but it was the destiny that brought
Diva, a dog without a pedigree, into our lives.

With Diva I have entered the
life of cynology. Ever since my wish was to own a
"working" breed - which a Boxer definitely is.
Quite soon we started visiting courses of obedience,
organized by the dog school of the Canine Society Skofja
Loka - Zelezniki. We passed the B and C category exams
successfully, furthermore we worked on category IPO1. We
attended some obedience competitions, practiced agility
as well and even attended a competition when Diva was
already eight years old.
Since
starting to live with Diva my love and enthusiasm for
German boxers and cynology
overall charmed me more that I have ever expected.
I
passed the exam for dog trainer organized by the
Slovenian Kennel Club as well. I
enjoy sharing my knowledge with other people who are
often new to living with a dog.

A few years ago my wish to breed
German boxer became stronger and stronger. For this
reason I decided to bring another dog into our home and
into our lives - a brindle bitch named Astra con Tilia,
who came from France. She has an excellent
"working" temperament and a wonderful, very
friendly personality. Hopefully these characteristics
will be passed on her offsprings too.
